London has a special place in my heart. I used to live there several years ago when my wife lived there. I was fascinated by the city and I still am. I even published a book about London.
Now I feel lucky because I have weddings and other photo sessions to regularly go back there for. There is just so much opportunity for engagement photography in London.
You can literally get off the tube at any station, start walking in any direction and you will find great spots to explore. This is exactly what we did with Sarah and Simon a couple of days before their wedding in Wimbledon.
We initially started off in St. Dunstan in the East Church Garden which is a gorgeous little hideaway spot not known by many, that offers nice rugged backgrounds and some greenery - then we walked all the way to the South Bank stopping along the way here and there for more portraits.
When I start planning a portrait session I start by discussing potential locations with the couples, locations which have a meaning to them. That I believe is important - I want them to relate to places and things and not only deciding based on prettiness. With time passing by this will create stronger memories.

Malmo Wedding Photographer Sweden - Love Session - Anna Maria + Anders

Anna Maria and Anders are both from Sweden, and living in Malmö. I've got to known Anna Maria through photography, as she is a wedding photographer too. We met at a wedding photography conference called Way Up North held in Stockholm. It is a really great conference with some of the best people from the wedding photography industry, presenting some of their own approach, experience, vision and thoughts on weddings. Plus there are around three hundred attendees so you have the chance to talk to fellow photographers from all over the world. Visit Anna Maria's site here for beautiful images: amliljestrand.se And Anders has a cool iOS app called - Beer With Me. I went to visit them at the end of February to shoot a session for them. The location we chose was a nearby beach called Skanör-Falsterbo, a short drive from the centre of Malmö. It is a perfect setting with the sea in the background and with the colourful beach huts on the other side. These are privately owned little houses, really quite a unique sight. It was freezing cold on the day but Anna Maria braved the minuses in a really thin dress and it was well worth it. We had amazing smooth light throughout the afternoon and we ended up with some lovely shots of them. Overall a great day out..

We met in the late afternoon, just as the light turned soft and golden—my favorite time of day for a photoshoot. As we wandered through Budapest, they not only had their engagement portraits taken but also enjoyed a mini city tour, experiencing the beauty of both sides of the Danube.

Budaörs Wedding Portraits - R&P
Rita and Peti called me up and asked me to be their wedding photographer, but I was already booked up on their day. They have decided that they want me to take their portraits anyway, so we made it happen. We met up on a Thursday afternoon, and headed out to the hills of Budaörs, near Budapest. This location was in my mind for a long time, so I was more than happy, that because of the fortunate-unfortunate circumstances we had the time to actually go there and take some portraits.
