Micro Weddings - What is it?
Micro Weddings
Micro weddings are what everyone talks about lately. It is the new buzzword, and it is the new intimate wedding. But is it?
For years, intimate weddings have existed. What does intimate wedding mean? Well, as opposed to a full blown wedding with let’s say a 100 or more wedding guests, intimate weddings have less than 50 or even 25 guests attending, mainly closer family members, best friends. These weddings are more atmospheric, possibly quieter and just the overall day is a bit more low key.
In the beginning of 2020 as the pandemic broke out and grew the wedding industry as a whole has come to a halt. Government restrictions has stopped most if not all weddings. The ones which had a green light had a restriction on the number of the guests. Out of all these restrictions a new trend has emerged.
What is a micro wedding? What is considered a micro wedding?
“A micro wedding is an intimate affair, typically with no more than 50 guests. They still feature time-honoured traditions that make a wedding but on a much smaller scale.” – ‘Brides‘
I would say though we call a wedding a micro wedding with no more than 25 guests. It is not an elopement, where it is only the couple are the participants, but with a few more guests, parents, siblings, best men, best couple of friends are at the event. Micro weddings as a concept is not new but with the pandemic and travel restrictions they got more popular.
Lots of couple has chosen not to postpone or cancel their wedding in the past year but just scale down and replan their day into a micro wedding.
As a wedding photographer I can confidently say – as we move on from the pandemic – that micro weddings are here to stay.
What’s the cost of a micro wedding?
From a budget point of view a micro wedding is more budget friendly, but as you spend less on your overall wedding day, you can possibly spend more on your guests, on your photography, florals, micro wedding venue and destination. You can simply have your wedding at home for no cost, or when travel restrictions become the past you can fly to a far away location with your best 10 guests for a weekend. The choice is yours .
Benefits of Hosting a Micro Wedding
All the weddings require a timeline but the more guests you have the more the wedding needs to be precisely planned.A micro wedding timeline can be as simple as time of ceremony and then a dinner. At some point some portraits of the couple only and that is all you need to fit in. With very few people at your wedding and a not so strict schedule you can invest a lot more time into your guests, spend meaningful conversations with them and have a relaxed laid back day. As mentioned above, cost wise you can be more choosy on your photography and if you want you can splurge on details like wedding dress flowers and jewellery.

Hi, thank you for stopping by. Im a wedding photographer in Hungary. Throughout the years I have photographed many weddings by Balaton and I love the whole area. I wanted to make a list for you to help you to decide among all the gorgeous wedding venues by Balaton.
Balaton has gained a lot of popularity in the last couple of years, and not only as a holiday location but many Hungarian couples and more and more engaged couples from abroad are having their wedding at one of the fine Balaton Wedding Venues.
As popularity grew new venues opened and older ones have been renovated and reopened. Balaton is not only gorgeous but by carefully choosing the best Hungarian wedding venue for yourself you will have the time of your lifetime there. Balaton is nostalgic and also new and trendy. Gastronomy is constantly developing and many of the best chefs of the country are moving down by the lake for the season and beyond.
Wine is – besides the lake – of course the the most attractive aspect of this region of Hungary, so you can definitely organise you vineyard wedding here.
Badacsony wedding venues are the most seeked after and it is for a good reason. The history and the pure beauty of the area speaks to itself. Balaton Felvidek is also a highly recommended destination, its rolling Tuscany like hills are just gorgeous.

Badacsony Esküvő Helyszín
1. Villa Patzay
Villa Patzay wedding. Formerly known and owned by Laposa, it is a perfectly located wine terrace and boutique hotel. One of the first modern places, parties up to 120 guests can be organised here.
2. Istvándy Liget
On the hills behind Badacsony next to Káptalantóti, suitable for guests up to 150, willows ad shade for hot summer afternoons. Its a beautiful romantic wedding venue.
3. Szeremley Borház
An other lovely venue, and if you like arbor this is your place as you can have your dinner under the beautiful green leaves.
4. Kisfaludy Ház
It is located on one of the highest point on the Badacsony hill, it is a venue with great history.
5. Tölgyes Kúria
Tölgyes Kúria wedding. A venue which has been fully renovated in 2018, but kept its original charm quickly became a favourite among couples organising their wedding around the lake Balaton. For up to 100 guests, oak trees and views over the rolling hills make the venue a wonderful choice.
6. Pici Szívem Badacsony
This gorgeous wedding venue which is located in Badacsonyörs has a fantastic view over the lake and Badacsony. The huge terrace can accomodate up to 150 guests. It has a big well kept garden with big mature walnut trees where you can have your wedding ceremony, and also there is a little charming chapel so you can have a church ceremony too. Run by two well experienced wedding organiser, it is a great choice.
Balaton Uplands wedding venue
It is often called as the Hungarian Tuscany, the national park is really a gorgeous area with hills and vineyards and the Balaton in the background. These are my favourite wedding locations from around here:

Káli Art Inn
Situated in Köveskál, in the heart of the Káli basin, this has been a gem of a place for many years now. The countryside style 2 main buildings and smaller houses offer several rooms, there are 2 pools and also an award winning restaurant. The garden is beautifully designed and kept, and it is perfect for a wedding ceremony. One of the most sought after venues in the region.

I put venues which are not in Badacsony and in the Uplands in this category.Three places are in Balatonfüred and there are 2 venues which are historically connected. One is the Festetics Palace and the other is the Bock Bistro.

4. Festetics Palace Wedding, Keszthely
Wedding at Festetics Palace. Also known as Helikon Palace. This is one of the most beautiful palaces in Hungary to organise your wedding at a historically rich gorgeous palace. There are many options to have your wedding ceremony outdoors or indoors in the ballroom. It is truly a unique venue if you are looking for class, elegance and a classic backdrop.
5. Bock Bistro Balaton
6. Casa Christa
Casa Christa is a truly beautiful place with many options. Guests up to 70-100 can be seated on the large terrace with gorgours views.
Balaton south side wedding venue
The south side of Balaton is as you can see not as popular for weddings but there are some location worth mentioning:
1. Egy Csipetnyi Nádas
This venue is just outside Siófok, in Töreki, surrounded by forest, an atmospheric venue.
2. Majthényi Présház
Badacsony of the south side – this hill is regularly mentioned. The winery is on the top of the hill with beautiful views over the lake.
3. Szent Kristof Winery
+2 Countryside wedding venue Hungary
Two locations which are not by the lake, I still want to talk about them as they are just a short drive away from the south side and they are very popular spots.
1. Babérliget Mansion
Baberliget Luxury Mansion wedding. Baberliget wedding venue is a provence style location, romantic and intimate, though it can also accommodate larger groups in their pavilion. There is a beautiful shaded garden and a row of large chestnut trees, it is one of the most popular wedding venues in Hungary.
2. Villa Bogart
Villa Bogart wedding in Alsobogati is one of the most beautiful venues in Hungary. A gorgeous castle, a huge castle park and there’s even a small chapel for your wedding ceremony. Highly recommended venue.

Top 20 – Balaton Esküvő Helyszín
Az utóbbi években – nem kicsit köszönhetően persze az utazási korlátozásoknak is – a Balaton egyre felkapottabb lett nem csak a nyári vakáció szempontjából, de sokan ötvözik a nyaralást az esküvőjükkel is. A Balaton nem csak gyönyörű, de a megfelelő helyszín kiválasztásával tényleg egy egész életre meghatározó élményben lehet része a párnak és vendégeinek. A Balaton nosztalgia és új trendi helyek is egyben. A gasztronómia folyamatosan fejlődik, új helyszínek nyílnak, régiek megújulnak.
A válogatás során megpróbáltam minden féle helyszínt a listába rakni, de nem tudtam figyelmen kívül hagyni, hogy a legtöbben a bor és az északi part dimbes dombos gyönyörű panorámás tájaira vágynak. Így a legtöbb balatoni esküvői helysín is az északi parton található. Ezen belül is Badacsony és a Balaton Felvidék környéke a legvonzóbb.
Olyan helyszínek ezek ahol nemcsak a gasztro élmények vagy a panoráma miatt hanem a kiszolgálás és az egésznek a hangulata miatt is kitűnő választás lehet egy álomszép balatoni esküvőhöz.

Badacsony Esküvő Helyszín
1. Villa Patzay
Villa Pátzay Esküvő: Korábban Laposa nevével fémjelzett, de tulajdonosváltáson átesett helyszín. Gyönyörű panoráma tárul elénk a Balatonnal , tulajdonképpen a badacsonyi hegy tetején ez volt az elsők közt mint egy modern ‘design boutique’. 120 Főben maximalizálják a vendégek számát.
2. Istvándy Liget
Badacsony mögötti, Káptalantóti közelében fekvő helyszín, nagyobb, akár 150 fős esküvőkre is alkalmas. Fűzfák árnyéka és vidéki romantika jellemzi.
3. Szeremley Borház
Tökéletes választás ha az ember arra vágyik hogy lugas alatt töltse el az esküvői vacsoráját.
4. Kisfaludy Ház
Badacsony egyik legmagasabb pontján nagy múltal rendelkező helyszín.
5. Tölgyes Kúria
Tölgyes Kúria Esküvő: Rizapusztai helyszín amely 2018-ban teljes felújításon esett át, megőrizve az eredeti szépségét. Maximum 100 főnek, ez a helyszín nagyon gyorsan az egyik nagy kedvenc lett a párok körében. Nem véletlenül. Nyugalom, kilátás a környező dombságra, őstölgyfák, nagyszerű kiszolgálás mind hozzájárul ahhoz hogy feledhetetlen esküvőnket ide tervezzük.
6. Pici Szívem Badacsony
Badacsonyörsön elhelyezkedő páratlan panorámával rendelkező gyönyörű herlyszín. Mind a Balaton és Badacsony elénk tárul a 150 főt befogadni képes teraszról. Szőlős, nagy szépen ápolt kert, ősfák jellemzik a területet. Egyházi ceremóniára is van lehetőség a pici de annál hangulatosabb magán kápolnában. Remek választás ez a helyszín, nagy tapasztalattal rendelkező esküvő szervezőktől.
+1 . Csendes Dűlő
Ez a helyszín csak portré / kreatív fotózásra fogad párokat, nagyobb esküvő megrendezésére sajnos egyelőre nincs lehetőség. Ez a kiváló étterem Badacsony mellett az Örsi-hegyen fekszik, kivételes adottságú helyszín páratlan kilátással nemcsak a Balatonra hanem a badacsonyi hegyre is.
Balaton Felvidék esküvő helyszín
A magyar Toszkánának is becézett a Balaton északi oldalán elterülő dombság a Balaton Felvidék Nemzeti Park nemcsak gyönyörű de természetesen esküvő helyszínek is vannak bőven. Nem is akármilyenek. Ezek a kedvenceim:

Balaton északi part esküvő helyszín
Ebbe a kategóriába azokat a helyszíneket tettem amelyek se nem badacsonyiak se nem a Felvidék területén találhatóak. Ide soroltam három balatonfüredi esküvő helyszínt is. Illetve itt van még két helyszín ami történelmileg összekapcsolódik, az egyik a Keszthely Festetics Kastély a másik a Bock Bisztró.

Balaton déli part esküvő helyszín
A déli part ahogy a listából is látjátok nem annyira népszerű mint az északi, de azért van néhány hely ami említést érdemel.
1. Egy Csipetnyi Nádas
Ez a Siófok melletti helyszín Töreki szélén, erdővel körülvett területen kiváló választás lehet annak akit a Balaton déli partja vonz.
2. Majthényi Présház
A déli part Badacsonyjának kikiáltott domb tetején elhelyezkedő présházról gyönyörű panoráma tárul elénk.
3. Szent Kristóf Pincészet
Nagy helyszín Zamárdiban. Akár 130 fős lagzit is lehet tartani itt.
+2 Vidéki Esküvő Helyszín
Két helyszín, ami ugyan nem balatoni, de úgy érzem érdemes őket megemlíteni abben a listában.
1. Babérliget Kúria
Babérliget esküvő.Romantikus vidéki esküvő helyszín a somogyi dombok között. Kis intim családias esküvőktől egészen 150 fős lagzikig ez egy nagyon kedvelt és népszerű helyszín.
2. Villa Bogart
Alsóbogáti esküvő helyszín. Villa Bogart Magyarország egyik legszebb esküvői helyszíne. Gyönyörű kastély, ősfás park, minden ami egy nagyszerű esküvőhöz szükséges itt megtalálható.

Családi Fotók Beniről. Imádom az egyszerű családi fotókat. Sokszor nem kell semmi más csak egy egyszerű háttér és egy vidám család a nagyszerű fotókhoz. Meg akarjuk őrizni a gyermekünk mosolyát, évek múltán is vissza tudjuk nézni hogy az adott korban milyen volt a tekintete, grimasza, aranyos mozdulatai.
Ezek a képek egyébként nem műteremben készültek, egyszerűen az ablakot használtuk ki ami az egyik legjobb fényforrás, természetes, és nem is villog mint egy vaku. A gyermekeknek is sokkal jobb, nem ijednek meg tőle.

Családi Fotózás
Üdvözöllek a honlapomon, Zácsfalvi Gyula vagyok, fotográfus, több mint 10 éve fotózok esküvőket. A családi fotózás eleinte az esküvők mellet mint egy mellék szál működött. Majd egyre többen kerestek meg, most már heti rendszerességgel fotózom a szebbnél szebb családokat.
Az évek során rengeteg párt fotóztam, és sokukkal évek múltán is jó baráti viszonyt ápolok. Igazán nagy elismerés, és nagyon jó érzés, hogy a párok visszajönnek amikor gyermeket várnak, és amikor már gyarapodott a család. A családi fotózásokat nagyjából ugyanúgy közelítem meg mint az esküvői napokat.
Műtermet nem használok, az otthonotokban, vagy külső helyszínen fotózom a gyermekeket és titeket. Természetközelben, parkban sokkal felszabadultabb tud lenni mindenki mint műtermi lámpák előtt.
A célom az hogy azt fotózzam le amilyenek vagytok.
Milyen egy családi fotózás?
Jókedvű
Mindennél fontosabb, hogy vidáman teljen ez az 1 – másfél óra. Azon vagyok, hogy ne csak gyönyörű képekkel, de egy szép élménnyel is gazdagodjatok.
Őszinte
Nem vagyok híve a giccses beállításoknak, megunt pózoknak, inkább a természetes megközelítésnek. Követlek benneteket, és elkapom a pillanatokat ami szívből jön.
