Ta’ Betta Winery – A Hidden Gem for Weddings in Malta
Ta’ Betta Winery is a fairly new but exceptionally beautiful wedding venue in the heart of Malta. As its name suggests, it is a sprawling 4-acre estate filled with lush vineyards and over 200 olive trees, creating an intimate and picturesque setting for weddings.
Normally closed to the public, the winery opens its doors for exclusive wine tastings and intimate weddings, offering a truly unique experience.
At the heart of the estate lies a stunning villa with a spacious terrace overlooking the vineyards. Behind the villa, a secluded garden space, similar in size to the terrace, offers a choice of ceremony or reception locations. Just a short walk away, a tranquil area by the olive trees, featuring a charming fountain, makes for a perfect cocktail hour spot.
Beneath the villa sits a modern wine cellar—not underground, but open toward the gardens—equipped with state-of-the-art winemaking technology. This is also where wedding parties continue after 10 PM, ensuring the celebrations can last well into the night.
Briony & Jack’s Wedding at Ta’ Betta Winery
Briony and Jack’s wedding at Ta’ Betta Winery took place at the end of October, a time when Malta’s weather can be unpredictable. Though still warm, the windy conditions led them to choose the sheltered area behind the villa for dinner, while the terrace served as their ceremony location. As the sun began to set, the venue transformed into an incredibly atmospheric and romantic space, bathed in soft, golden light.

Limestone Heritage Wedding – A Celebration of Love, Culture & Elegance
Limestone Heritage Wedding – Waterfall Gardens
A truly unique wedding in Malta, blending German and Nigerian traditions for an unforgettable celebration. Scroll down for stunning images of the beautiful couple and their incredible party!
Nestled in the heart of Malta, near the traditional village of Siggiewi, this remarkable venue is set in a historic limestone quarry.
On regular days, Limestone Heritage operates as a museum, showcasing Malta’s rich history and the traditional craftsmanship of limestone. However, when a wedding or event is held here, the venue closes its doors to visitors, offering complete exclusivity.
A Wedding Venue Like No Other
Weddings at Limestone Heritage take place within the quarry area, but don’t be mistaken—this isn’t a rough industrial site. Instead, it’s been transformed into an elegant and beautifully designed venue. While the space is large, it is versatile enough to accommodate both grand celebrations and intimate weddings. One of the weddings I photographed here had just 50 guests, yet the setting still felt warm and inviting.
The venue features a grassy area with a picturesque tree, perfect for ceremonies or an alfresco dinner. Walking a bit further through the olive trees, you arrive at the Waterfall Gardens, home to a stunning, cascading waterfall. And yes—it’s artificial and can be turned off if you prefer a quieter ambiance during your wedding speeches or dinner.
For unpredictable weather, there’s also a permanent marquee, ensuring your celebration goes smoothly, rain or shine.
Things to Consider About Limestone Heritage
- Exclusivity & Organization – The venue is well-organized, enclosed, and private, ensuring a seamless event with no interruptions.
- No Panoramic Views – If you’re looking for a venue with sweeping vistas, this may not be the one. While the space itself has a wonderful atmosphere, it lacks open landscape views.
- Waterfall Consideration – The Waterfall Gardens are spectacular, but the waterfall is quite loud. Fortunately, you can turn it off for a more peaceful setting—ideal for speeches or dinner near the waterfall.
Pia & Uzoma’s Unforgettable Wedding at Limestone Heritage
One of my most memorable weddings in Malta was Pia and Uzoma’s celebration, a vibrant fusion of cultures, traditions, and incredible energy.
Their wedding festivities began the night before with a pre-wedding get-together at the Saluting Battery in Valletta. With guests traveling from across the world—many from the U.S. and Germany—the couple wanted to make every moment count. That night, they embraced a classic German tradition, the Polterabend, where guests smash porcelain to bring luck to the couple’s marriage.
The wedding preparations took place at the stunning Corinthia Palace in San Anton Gardens, where both the bride and groom got ready separately with their wedding parties in the hotel.
The Church Ceremony – St. Paul’s Anglican Cathedral, Valletta
The couple exchanged vows at St. Paul’s Anglican Cathedral, a beautifully light-filled church with grand columns and understated elegance—a picture-perfect setting for their ceremony.
A Wedding Filled with Nigerian Traditions
As Uzoma is originally from Nigeria, the wedding was infused with rich Nigerian customs, making it an extraordinary cultural experience.
One of the highlights was the Igbo Wedding Wine Ceremony, where:
✨ The groomsmen and groom enter the reception in traditional Nigerian attire.
✨ The bride and bridesmaids follow, wearing stunning traditional Nigerian outfits.
✨ The groom then “hides” among the wedding guests, and the bride must find him and present him with a glass of wine—a beautiful moment symbolizing love, respect, and unity.
An Unforgettable Celebration at the Waterfall Gardens
As the evening unfolded, the Waterfall Gardens transformed into an incredible party venue, with music, dancing, and joy filling the air.

Ta’ Betta Wine Estate
A fairly new wedding venue in Malta for smaller weddings. It is a gorgeous 4 acre area, it offers beautiful views over the vineyard, the olive grove and the surrounding fields. In the distance even Mdina is visible.

Wedding Venues in Mdina
These two venues are in Mdina. Some of the venues I mentioned before are close to Mdina but not literally in the old city. Both these venues are better suited for smaller weddings.

Villa Bologna
Without a doubt one of my favourite venues in Malta, it is very popular and it’s easy to understand why. Though there is no sea view as it is located in the middle part of the island, the superb garden/s and the medieval building as a background make up for it. Lots of opportunities there, it can accommodate smaller and large weddings too. The garden is full of beautiful lush trees, and there is a gorgeous fountain too. The garden is so big that there is a permanent tent too on the side for colder weather weddings, but if it is not used it is not obtrusive. The ceremony location is simply stunning with two columns and a log path leading up to it among a grassy area.
Castello Dei Baroni
To sum up this amazing wedding venue, it is as its name suggests a castle from the times of the Knights of Malta, located in the open countryside in the north west of Malta near St. Paul’s Bay. Views over the surrounding countryside, big flat roof top and a big pool in the garden. What else would you need for a great venue location. It is suitable for colder weather weddings too, as they can organise the ceremony and the dinner inside the castle too.
Villa Arrigo
If you imagine your wedding in a Grand Marquee, (it is attached to the villa, it is white with a light beige marble floor, so it is beautifully light and clean looking) Villa Arrigo might be your place. The colonial style villa – situated in the outskirts of Naxxar – has a classic white interior (fantastic for high end portraits of the couples) and a large luxurious terrace. The green lush garden makes it very pleasant for a bigger crowd too.
Palazzo Parisio
Palazzo Parisio is an 18th century palace in the heart of picturesque Naxxar. In the gorgeous building you’ll find a grand Ballroom and a Family Chapel, and the lush walled garden features an Orangery. Palazzo Parisio is renowned for its cuisine. Luna Collection, 2 restaurants and a lounge cafe offers top dishes and great atmosphere. For events including weddings it does its own catering. The palace is a very highly sought after venue you’ll have to book it way in advance.
Villa Overhills
In the buzzing city of Birzebbugia, this late nineteenth century Villa is an beautiful spacious wedding venue. Gardens with mature trees for hot summer days, an impressive reception space and a gazebo with columns by the pool are just a few impressive features this venue offers.
Torre Paulina
Beautifully located in the valley of Madliena, this 17th century tower which was fully renovated offers a great background for weddings. An outside pool, lavish garden and terraces a view over the sea and Pembroke makes the venue an exciting and unique choice for couples.
Ir-Razzett L-Abjad
One of my favourite wedding venues in Malta, this 200 year old farm house has everything you wish for. A beautiful poolside, grapevine covered reception area, a rooftop terrace perfect for wedding ceremonies, a row of palm trees, an elevated area which is great for DJs and bands. The whole venue is very atmospheric and it has a lot of different areas so you can plan your wedding activities in several different ways. I wholeheartedly recommend this venue.

Welcome to my site.

I work a lot in Malta as my wife is Maltese.

Ezek a Budapest környéki esküvő helyszínek egytől egyik gyönyörűek.
Segítsetek ti is.
Nyugodtan írjatok javaslatokkal, illetve esküvő fotózással kapcsolatban is keressetek.
Másik lista amit készítettem: Balatoni Esküvő Helyszín
Budapest Környéki Esküvő Helyszínek
1. Amber Bride Villa – Leányfalu
vagy más nevén Sorg – Villa
Daalarna Garden Szentendre
Esküvőkre tervezve! Csodás helyszín a Daalarna márkától, fentartható luxus jelzővel.
A fő jelző itt a nyugodtság, visszafogodtság. Letisztult földhöz közeli színek, meghitt sarkok jellemzik a tápiószentmártoni helyszínt.

Stoke Rochford Hall wedding UK
Castle Weddings in UK
Weddings in castles in England are a popular choice for many couples who want a fairy tale-like setting for their special day. There are many castles all around England and beyond to chose from, and they are all unique and special in their own way. Wedding photography at castles in the UK can be a truly magical experience for both the couple and the photographer.
Stoke Rochford Hall wedding UK
Stoke Rockford Hall is a victorian country mansion, located in Lincolnshire. The historic and picturesque setting of Stoke Rochford Hall Hotel provided a stunning backdrop for wedding photos for Bonnie and Karl that they will treasure for a lifetime. The garden with its 100+ year old trees and the castle were as gorgeous as you can imagine.
This particular wedding was a Chinese wedding in the UK and it was a blend of traditional Chinese customs and modern influences. The wedding included both Chinese and Western elements.
It began with the tea ceremony, in which Bonnie and Karl served tea to their parents and other senior members of both families. This symbolizes respect and honor to the couple’s parents and elders.
The wedding ceremony was held in the conservatory, and it was such a beautiful and unique way to exchange vows. The space was filled with natural light and it was a really romantic setting for the ceremony.
We scheduled the portraits for the best part of the day in terms of lights, and so we escaped from the wedding reception for half an hour a little before sunset. you cannot wish more than the castle and the landscaped garden as a background for gorgeous wedding portraits. There is even a little pond by the road leading up towards the castle so we passed by there too.
The day ended with a crazy party and a sparkle exit in the middle of the night…

Stylish London wedding photography
Stylish London wedding photography
This wedding was originally planned to be in Malta but due to various reasons Georgina and Stephen decided to bring it home and organise their stylish wedding in London. They wanted the London wedding venues to keep secret and only tell their guests the trendy London locations on the day of the wedding. Guests knew of the church though, which was St. Peters Catholic Church in Clerkenwell. A church you can barely notice from the street but as you walk inside it opens up to its huge interior. They started their day in Pan Pacific Hotel which was a really cool hotel to photograph in. We had beautiful views over London and the room had this wall to ceiling modern windows and a pointy corner where if you stood you would feel dizzy. We took some really nice bridal portraits in this corner.
After the church ceremony the guests had a surprise drive with a London traditional red bus (hop on hop off kind) which they still use for special occasions like weddings. Wedding breakfast took place in Galvin La Chapelle restaurant. The Michelin star restaurant was the perfect venue for a 5 course meal, great conversations and emotional and witty speeches from the bride, groom, best man and the maid of honour.
Stylish London wedding photography around Clerkenwell. We had about 20 minutes for the portraits, and we chose this building with beautiful red railings (red is such a London colour isn’t it?) as the background, and I almost forgot to mention, Georgina and Stephen rented an original James Bond Aston Martin DB5 too. they really looked stunning.
In the evening there was one more surprise for the guests as they got to know that the wedding party will be in Session Arts Club, a fantastic roof top bar/restaurant.
If you want to organise a stylish wedding in London, there are so so many possibilities, these 2 aforementioned venues are just a tiny example of them, but really great choices.

Ta’ Cenc Wedding Photography – A Stunning Gozo Celebration
Gozo, Malta’s charming little brother, is a breathtaking destination with rolling hills, stunning bays, golden beaches, and picturesque villages filled with historic squares and beautiful churches. Among its finest wedding venues is Ta’ Cenc Hotel Gozo, a place that feels wonderfully remote yet easily accessible, just a short 20-minute ferry ride from Malta’s westernmost tip.
Jake, the groom—and a fellow photographer—reached out to me to capture their special day, and I couldn’t wait to document it. There’s something truly special about having the trust of another photographer to tell their love story.
Before the wedding, Jake and Jess rented a farmhouse, inviting their closest friends to spend a week together in Gozo, making unforgettable memories before their big day.
On the wedding morning, we met at the farmhouse for their getting-ready moments before heading to Palazzo Palina, a 17th-century palace connected to Ta’ Cenc Hotel and a stunning setting for weddings.
A Perfect Summer Wedding at Palazzo Palina
Palazzo Palina offers a spacious indoor and outdoor setting, and with Gozo’s warm June weather, the entire wedding took place in the beautiful palace gardens. The civil ceremony was held in a separate courtyard, creating an intimate and private setting away from the evening celebrations.
For a hot summer wedding, this venue is ideal—the courtyard is shaded by beautiful trees, and as the sun sets, the light becomes incredibly atmospheric, making every moment feel even more magical.
Breathtaking Wedding Portraits at Ta’ Cenc Cliffs
Just a short drive from the hotel, the breathtaking Ta’ Cenc Cliffs offer the perfect escape for couples to sneak away from their guests for 10–15 minutes at sunset.
How to Get to Ta’ Cenc Cliffs?
Leaving the hotel, drive around the village on the main road. On your left, you’ll spot Xewkija village across the valley, offering a stunning panoramic view. Just past this, you’ll find a small parking area, though it’s unmarked. From there, a short 5-minute walk leads you to the cliffs—where a breathtaking 100m drop and unparalleled views of the sea and Malta await.
It’s an absolutely unforgettable location and well worth the visit, making for the perfect sunset wedding portraits that capture the essence of Gozo’s natural beauty.
