A Fairy-tale Luxury Wedding in Palazzo Parisio, Malta
Palazzo Parisio Wedding
Situated in the heart of Malta, in the historic town of Naxxar, Palazzo Parisio is the ultimate choice if you’re dreaming of a fairy-tale luxury wedding in Malta. This 18th-century palace is full of elegance, from its gorgeous interiors to its magical gardens. Picture saying “I do” surrounded by stunning baroque architecture and romantic vibes. Plus, the attention to detail and top-notch service will make you feel like royalty on your big day!
From the baroque, beautifully decorated ballroom to the huge Italian style garden this venue has it all. The multiple layers to this venue adds so many options to your wedding day in terms of location choices. The ceremony can be held inside or outside. There is a huge balcony / terrace overlooking the garden which is perfect for a few portraits or can be the location for cocktail hour with a smaller wedding crowd.
The huge Orangery is a gorgeous background for group photos and portraits.
Red Carpet Wedding
Palazzo Parisio is the perfect wedding venue in Malta where you can have a large area with red carpet making your whole wedding vibe like a Hollywood movie or film festival. You and your guests will look gorgeous and sparkling on the red carpet.
The venue can accommodate large and small weddings too. Whether you prefer to have a micro wedding or a huge party with 400 guests, it can be organised here. Even with let’s say 30 guests you won’t feel lost here as the space is cleverly organised. Shaded terraces, walled garden and different areas divide the otherwise large area.
Similarly To Villa Bologna, this is an old Palazzo with a courtyard, so there is no views or panorama but the amazing garden and the architecture will more than make it up to you.

Limestone Heritage Wedding – A Celebration of Love, Culture & Elegance
Limestone Heritage Wedding – Waterfall Gardens
A truly unique wedding in Malta, blending German and Nigerian traditions for an unforgettable celebration. Scroll down for stunning images of the beautiful couple and their incredible party!
Nestled in the heart of Malta, near the traditional village of Siggiewi, this remarkable venue is set in a historic limestone quarry.
On regular days, Limestone Heritage operates as a museum, showcasing Malta’s rich history and the traditional craftsmanship of limestone. However, when a wedding or event is held here, the venue closes its doors to visitors, offering complete exclusivity.
A Wedding Venue Like No Other
Weddings at Limestone Heritage take place within the quarry area, but don’t be mistaken—this isn’t a rough industrial site. Instead, it’s been transformed into an elegant and beautifully designed venue. While the space is large, it is versatile enough to accommodate both grand celebrations and intimate weddings. One of the weddings I photographed here had just 50 guests, yet the setting still felt warm and inviting.
The venue features a grassy area with a picturesque tree, perfect for ceremonies or an alfresco dinner. Walking a bit further through the olive trees, you arrive at the Waterfall Gardens, home to a stunning, cascading waterfall. And yes—it’s artificial and can be turned off if you prefer a quieter ambiance during your wedding speeches or dinner.
For unpredictable weather, there’s also a permanent marquee, ensuring your celebration goes smoothly, rain or shine.
Things to Consider About Limestone Heritage
- Exclusivity & Organization – The venue is well-organized, enclosed, and private, ensuring a seamless event with no interruptions.
- No Panoramic Views – If you’re looking for a venue with sweeping vistas, this may not be the one. While the space itself has a wonderful atmosphere, it lacks open landscape views.
- Waterfall Consideration – The Waterfall Gardens are spectacular, but the waterfall is quite loud. Fortunately, you can turn it off for a more peaceful setting—ideal for speeches or dinner near the waterfall.
Pia & Uzoma’s Unforgettable Wedding at Limestone Heritage
One of my most memorable weddings in Malta was Pia and Uzoma’s celebration, a vibrant fusion of cultures, traditions, and incredible energy.
Their wedding festivities began the night before with a pre-wedding get-together at the Saluting Battery in Valletta. With guests traveling from across the world—many from the U.S. and Germany—the couple wanted to make every moment count. That night, they embraced a classic German tradition, the Polterabend, where guests smash porcelain to bring luck to the couple’s marriage.
The wedding preparations took place at the stunning Corinthia Palace in San Anton Gardens, where both the bride and groom got ready separately with their wedding parties in the hotel.
The Church Ceremony – St. Paul’s Anglican Cathedral, Valletta
The couple exchanged vows at St. Paul’s Anglican Cathedral, a beautifully light-filled church with grand columns and understated elegance—a picture-perfect setting for their ceremony.
A Wedding Filled with Nigerian Traditions
As Uzoma is originally from Nigeria, the wedding was infused with rich Nigerian customs, making it an extraordinary cultural experience.
One of the highlights was the Igbo Wedding Wine Ceremony, where:
✨ The groomsmen and groom enter the reception in traditional Nigerian attire.
✨ The bride and bridesmaids follow, wearing stunning traditional Nigerian outfits.
✨ The groom then “hides” among the wedding guests, and the bride must find him and present him with a glass of wine—a beautiful moment symbolizing love, respect, and unity.
An Unforgettable Celebration at the Waterfall Gardens
As the evening unfolded, the Waterfall Gardens transformed into an incredible party venue, with music, dancing, and joy filling the air.

Ta’ Cenc Wedding Photography – A Stunning Gozo Celebration
Gozo, Malta’s charming little brother, is a breathtaking destination with rolling hills, stunning bays, golden beaches, and picturesque villages filled with historic squares and beautiful churches. Among its finest wedding venues is Ta’ Cenc Hotel Gozo, a place that feels wonderfully remote yet easily accessible, just a short 20-minute ferry ride from Malta’s westernmost tip.
Jake, the groom—and a fellow photographer—reached out to me to capture their special day, and I couldn’t wait to document it. There’s something truly special about having the trust of another photographer to tell their love story.
Before the wedding, Jake and Jess rented a farmhouse, inviting their closest friends to spend a week together in Gozo, making unforgettable memories before their big day.
On the wedding morning, we met at the farmhouse for their getting-ready moments before heading to Palazzo Palina, a 17th-century palace connected to Ta’ Cenc Hotel and a stunning setting for weddings.
A Perfect Summer Wedding at Palazzo Palina
Palazzo Palina offers a spacious indoor and outdoor setting, and with Gozo’s warm June weather, the entire wedding took place in the beautiful palace gardens. The civil ceremony was held in a separate courtyard, creating an intimate and private setting away from the evening celebrations.
For a hot summer wedding, this venue is ideal—the courtyard is shaded by beautiful trees, and as the sun sets, the light becomes incredibly atmospheric, making every moment feel even more magical.
Breathtaking Wedding Portraits at Ta’ Cenc Cliffs
Just a short drive from the hotel, the breathtaking Ta’ Cenc Cliffs offer the perfect escape for couples to sneak away from their guests for 10–15 minutes at sunset.
How to Get to Ta’ Cenc Cliffs?
Leaving the hotel, drive around the village on the main road. On your left, you’ll spot Xewkija village across the valley, offering a stunning panoramic view. Just past this, you’ll find a small parking area, though it’s unmarked. From there, a short 5-minute walk leads you to the cliffs—where a breathtaking 100m drop and unparalleled views of the sea and Malta await.
It’s an absolutely unforgettable location and well worth the visit, making for the perfect sunset wedding portraits that capture the essence of Gozo’s natural beauty.

The little Copenhagen Elopement Guide
What is an elopement?
Originally it meant to escape and get married without telling your family and friends.
These days elopements are not so drastic, although this do happen from time to time, in most cases the families do know about it.
Reasons to elope
Couples wanting to elope chose this for different reasons. They want to go to a dream location where you cannot hold a big wedding, or they just want to be themselves and enjoy getting married on their own terms without the hassle of organising a big wedding.
Sometimes couples do include very few guests, like parents, making it into a micro wedding.
Also, sometimes couples organise a big party at a later date when they return home.
One more reason can be money related. The couples choosing to elope might not have the funds to organise a traditional wedding and they instead try to save up for other things in their life ahead.
If a big formal wedding is something you want to avoid, an elopement in Copenhagen might be the best and easiest choice for you.
Why should you elope in Copenhagen?
Copenhagen is a beautiful city. It is a modern and forward thinking capital. Architecture is fantastic, with both classic and modern buildings. Romantic canals and the vicinity of the sea makes it one of the most desirable destinations to elope.
- You don’t need your own witness. Let the registrar know that you don’t have a witness and they can sign your documents for you.
- Same-sex marriage in Denmark is allowed. In fact, Denmark was the first country to grant married status to same-sex couples in the world in 1989.
- Paperwork and documentation is easy and fast.
- easily accessible from all around the world.
The price of an elopement in Copenhagen. How much does it cost to elope in Copenhagen?

What is the ceremony like in the City Hall Copenhagen? (Radhus)
It is short (5-10 minutes) but sweet ceremony. It is possible to exchange vows and rings.
At the end you sign your marriage certificate.
To make it seem to last longer I recommend to take portraits in and around the building. It is a very beautiful building with many options.

Copenhagen Elopement Photographer
I was so happy when Anni contacted me to photograph their elopement in Copenhagen. I’ve known Anni and Luke for a while now, Anni is a cellist playing concerts all over Europe and Luke is an english teacher in an international school. They lived in Copenhagen for a while when Anni was studying and so when they moved to Budapest they decide when they get married they would do so in Copenhagen the city they both love. What is not to like about Copenhagen? Probably the best cyclist infrastructure in the world, many good cafes and restaurants, and of course the world renown Scandinavian design all makes the capital of Denmark a very pleasant and wanted destination among couples wanting to elope or getting married in Denmark.
Photographing an elopement in Copenhagen is fabulous. It is so nice and such an honour to share a full day with just a couple and no one else.
Wedding photography is all about trust, and it’s even truer when photographing elopements.
Copenhagen has a lot to offer, the City Hall (Radhus) is a beautiful building not only for the official ceremony but for some portraits too.
The wedding day
It was a beautiful day. We only had a few plans for after the ceremony, and we thought we’ll see how things are going and how much time we have to do things. We wanted to go to some of their favourite locations to take portraits, but before we did that, we stopped at the Mikkeller bar for a famous brew beer. After that we passed by the Copenhagen Botanical Garden and ended up at the Copenhagen beach by sunset, where Anni and Luke read out their personal vows to each other. This was definitely the highlight of the day, with the beautiful area, majestic light and emotions flying high too.
In the evening we went to the Meatpacking district and took some final portraits with the neon lights, which felt like we were in a movie. Here is to more elopements!
Hotel Chateau Bela Wedding
Hotel Chateau Bela Wedding – Viktoria & Brad
It is my absolute pleasure to share this Hotel Chateau Bela wedding from Slovakia. Chateau Bela was built in the 18th century and it was recently renovated. It is located in southern Slovakia near the Hungarian border. The hotel is surrounded by a forest on one side and it has expansive views over the nearby fields on the other. It is a fabulous setting for a wedding venue in Slovakia.
You can reach the reception through an atmospheric courtyard. The Chateau offers a spacious wedding ball room which is lit beautifully by natural light through the huge windows. Chateau Bela is such a perfect wedding venue in Slovakia. The whole wedding party can be accommodated at the hotel and there are different areas where different part of the wedding day can be organised and held. You can have welcome drinks in a beautiful room connected to a terrace overlooking the garden with a lake. There is a small charming Chapel too attached to the chateau so there is no need to travel afar for a church ceremony.
Viktoria and Brad organised their wedding in Chateau Bela for a couple of reasons. Viktoria is originally from Slovakia. Though she didn’t grow up in Slovakia, she does speak Slovakian because of her mum. They both love classic buildings and they wanted their wedding guests (for many of whom came from overseas) to have and unforgettable experience in a classic environment.
They spent the whole day at the hotel, and whilst Viktoria was getting ready Brad welcomed the guests. There was such a positive vibe from the start with people cheering laughing and giving big hugs to each other. There were many friends who haven’t seen each other for years and now the got to spend a weekend at this magical palace.
Viktoria was not only gorgeous but she wore a stunning Hayley Paige wedding gown.
Their church wedding ceremony was in the chapel which is part of the chateau. The chapel was just big enough for all the about 90 guests. It was a beautiful and emotional ceremony after which we all walked back to the courtyard for dome family formals and group photos with friends.
Taking the portraits of them was so easy. They look fabulous and their incredibly kind personality made this part of the day so enjoyable. We just walked down to the garden of Chateau Bela and stopped along the way a few times. We also took some portraits inside the chateau as we wanted to show more of the beauty of the interior too in the photos.
The wedding dinner reception was held in the ball room of Chateau Bela.
As I mentioned earlier Viktoria has Slovakian origins so they wanted to show some of the traditions of a Slovakian wedding.
Slovak Traditional Wedding Cepcenie Ceremony
The bonnet wedding ceremony.
It is an important folklore wedding tradition. It is held at midnight where the unmarried woman is welcomed by married women.
The participants are dressed in traditional costumes and they sing wedding folk songs. The bride wears a wreath and it is replaced by a headband.
Brad and Viktoria were one of the most welcoming couple I have met and I’ll be forever grateful for it.

Matthias Church Wedding Photography | Felicia + Fredrik
Matthias Church Wedding Photography, Budapest
Certainly, the most significant moment of the day was the wedding ceremony at St. Matthias Church in the heart of Budapest’s Castle District. But let’s not jump ahead just yet—there’s so much more to this unforgettable celebration.
This is a wedding I am particularly proud of. Felicia and Fredrik, a couple from Stockholm, chose Budapest for their big day, drawn by its breathtaking views, stunning locations, and historic wedding venues. For Felicia, the city held an even deeper meaning—her family roots trace back here, making it the perfect place to say “I do.”
A Celebration Beyond the Wedding Day
With so many guests traveling from abroad, Felicia and Fredrik wanted to make the most of the occasion. The festivities began the night before with a pre-wedding gathering at a ruin bar in the heart of the city—a relaxed and lively way for everyone to meet, connect, and set the tone for the celebrations to come.
A Morning at the Writer’s Villa
The wedding day itself started on the Buda side in one of Budapest’s most charming locations—The Writer’s Villa. This elegant, historic home provided a picturesque setting where the couple, along with their closest friends and family, got ready. It was also where Felicia and Fredrik shared their emotional first look—a quiet, intimate moment before the grand events of the day unfolded.
The Ceremony at Matthias Church
And then, Matthias Church—a place steeped in more than a thousand years of history. Even King Matthias himself was married here, adding to the significance of this incredible venue.
Sitting atop Castle Hill, the church is not only one of the most sought-after wedding locations in Budapest but also offers one of the city’s most stunning panoramic views. Surrounded by a charming square and winding cobblestone streets, it truly feels like being on top of Budapest.
As guests gathered in front of the church, anticipation filled the air. This was a black-tie wedding, and the scene was nothing short of breathtaking—elegant suits, flowing gowns, and an atmosphere of timeless sophistication.
Inside the magnificent church, the ceremony was simply magical. The grandeur of the architecture, the soft candlelight, and the heartfelt vows created an experience that was both deeply moving and unforgettable.
A Toast with a View
Following the ceremony, the newlyweds and their guests took a short stroll to Fisherman’s Bastion for an intimate reception with a panoramic view. With a glass of champagne in hand, they celebrated the moment, soaking in the enchanting scenery that Budapest so effortlessly provides.
A Grand Celebration at Wenckheim Palace
The evening continued at the Wenckheim Palace, an opulent venue known to many as the Metropolitan Ervin Szabó Library. By day, it’s the main branch of Hungary’s largest library network, but for this night, it became the setting for an unforgettable wedding dinner.
As is tradition in Swedish weddings, the dinner was a long and heartfelt affair—lasting nearly five hours, filled with speeches, laughter, and tears. Each toast, every shared memory, brought an intimate warmth to what was a grand celebration, making even a large wedding party feel personal and deeply emotional.
A Wedding to Remember
Felicia and Fredrik’s Budapest wedding was a perfect blend of history, elegance, and heartfelt moments. From the cobbled streets of Buda to the grandeur of Wenckheim Palace, every part of their day was filled with love, laughter, and the magic of Budapest.
